Solidworks CAD Draughtsperson

We are looking for a CAD engineer/draughts person with SolidWorks 3D CAD experience to join our client in their engineering design team.
The primary responsibility of the role will be to generate fully detailed drawings from concept designs and to modify/update existing drawings to assist in consistency and continual improvement. You will work closely with suppliers to manage the quotation and procurement of parts. You will also assist other departments with drawing requests within and thus work with people across all departments. Occasionally some design work will be required but for the majority of the time you will be detailing drawings and updating/modifying existing designs.
SolidWorks experience is essential. Knowledge of using SolidWorks PDM is desirable but not essential. A strong background in detailing and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing is essential.

Technical skills and qualifications
• HNC/D, or relevant experience.
• Good computer skills, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
• SolidWorks proficient.
• SolidWorks PDM.
• Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing.
An understanding of manufacturing processes, milling, turning, grinding, forging, and welding, is advantageous but not essential.
This position would suit someone who has a structured approach to creating parts and building assemblies so that other users can easily dissect and modify if necessary. You likely take pride in the presentation of drawings: consistent formatting, easy to read, thinks of the end user.
