HVS

Partner Client

Careers at HVS.

HVS is driven by its team, with each member working to a shared vision to revolutionise heavy duty transport and bring zero-emission hydrogen-electric commercial vehicles to market.

HVS is well underway to becoming a new UK-based OEM, delivering vehicles that are designed from the ground up around the hydrogen-electric powertrain. Its innovative products, strong strategic investor, flexible and forward-looking management and significant government support make HVS one of the most rapidly growing companies in the country.

About HVS

HVS was founded in 2017 with the goal of decarbonising the heavy-duty transport sector by introducing hydrogen-electric zero-emission commercial vehicles. In 2020 the company restructured and over the last two years has secured over £30million of private investment as well as significant government financial backing. It has undertaken development for several vehicles (including its flagship HGV tractor unit) and has a working demonstrator vehicle, which it is in the process of ramping up to production readiness and manufacture.

HVS is set to be the first to market with a new, UK-indigenous, zero-emission HGV tractor unit, utilising cutting-edge technology, a growing IP library and innovative vehicle designs. There is a strong market pull for this vehicle, with customers already engaged, and the potential to achieve massive carbon emissions savings once HVS vehicles begin to replace current diesel offerings.

HVS has headquarters in Glasgow and another site in the Midlands.

What kind of people does HVS recruit?

HVS operates in a fast-paced, ambitious and expertise-driven environment. The team is building a new OEM and seeks growth in all areas of the business. It is building a unified team where every member feels valued and inspired to help drive innovation that helps the UK achieve ambitious net-zero targets.

That team of course includes engineers and technology experts with a range of skills, from automotive design and manufacture to vehicle development and electrical engineering. But HVS is also hiring individuals with skills in HR, Finance, IT, Sales, Marketing, After-Sales, Manufacturing, Quality and Supply Chain/Procurement.

Candidates for roles at HVS must share the company’s passion to decarbonise the heavy-duty transport sector and drive the UK towards a net-zero future. Winning candidates will enjoy the culture of a small, agile company that is rapidly growing. They must adhere to the highest moral and ethical values and give their best efforts in support of the team. They must be flexible and self-motivated, committed to their work and willing to innovate.

HVS values every team member and everyone is encouraged to make their voices heard, especially in their area of expertise. There is a strong potential for exposure to other departments, enabling the whole team to share knowledge and insights. On top of this, there are exceptional opportunities for career growth as HVS continues to expand its team at all levels.
