Our Automotive client in Leeds are looking to expand their Quality team by recruiting a new Quality Engineer.

They are looking for someone with the following:

- Customer quality management and rootcause analysis.

- Experience in managing the full process of rootcause and reporting NCMRs.

- Good computer skills associated to Microsoft office.

- Experience in IMDS and/or CDX material reporting process (desirable).

- ISO9001 and 14001 internal audits, both completing and managing the system (desirable).

Job Summary

This role will provide quality assurance support to our internal processes and department along with our wide variation of customer across the world.

Your quality process and tool knowledge much be second to none and will be utilised to investigate and countermeasure a variety of issue that could occur across our company’s wide product ranges. In addition to ongoing improvement initiatives to further improve the company.

Close working relation will be needed with other departments, global sites and customer alike, ensuring a superior service is provided to maintain total customer satisfaction.

Main Duties / Responsibilities

? Customer concern point of contact.

? Managing allocated customer portals and customer sites in regard to quality metrics and support.

? Leading in problem-solving investigation to resolve customer and international quality issues.

? Working on closing internal process audit action and improvement points.

? Co-ordinate containment activities on and off site

? Use of investigation tools such as 5Y, Fishbone etc.

? Working with customer service to support resolution of customer dissatisfaction.

? Working closely with the production and engineering department on process and quality improvements.

? Raise and issue supplier 8D reports to the company’s supplier base and Working closely with purchasing department to resolve quality related issues

? Review of returned supplier 8D reports.

? Weekly / Monthly reporting to the QA Manager on business KPI’s.

? Supporting customer visits both on and off site.

? Conduct internal process audits.

? Improving procedures in relation to the quality management system.

? Supporting in the environmental management system maintenance and compliance.

? IMDS/CDX Processing and managing requests.

Essential requirements

? Good communication skills, both verbal and written.

? Hands on and can do attitude.

? 5 Years’ experience in a quality discipline working with automotive customers.

? Knowledge of ISO9001:2015

? Understanding of technical drawings.

? Excellent IT skill specifically within Microsoft Office.

? Good analytical skills.

? Able to work well within a team and independently.

? Lead teams and make decisions.

? Preference engineering / Technical background.

? Full Driving licence.

? Passport

Desirable

? Electrical engineering background.

? IMDS/CDX process and compliance.

? Environmental management system experience and managing compliance to relevant legislation and reporting.

? Experiencing in creating, updating and managing control plans, PFMEAs and Process flow diagrams.

? ISO9001:2015 & ISO14001:2015 trained auditor.
