​Quality Coordinator- Late Shift (2-10pm)

Fareham, Hampshire

Salary - £25-30k + 10% Shift Allowance + 10% Bonus + Benefits

Working in a team of 3, this newly created position is to provide quality support to manufacturing, shop floor and operations. In this role you’ll be helping develop quality processes, carrying out scheduled quality and compliance checks as well as ensuring products and materials meet the relevant standards. It’s a varied, dynamic environment and your role will involve process improvement, inspection, training, ownership of NCR’s as well as RCA and some audit work.

We are looking for someone with a BTEC or A Level background and some experience within industry. You might be working as a Quality inspector or Quality Controller and have the desire and ambition to broaden your experience within the quality department.

A good understanding of inspection methods and practical skills using measurement tools including Callipers, Micrometers and Faro Arm CMM systems would be beneficial. Any exposure to ultrasonic scanning would be useful. A willingness to learn, take ownership and be highly self-motivated is a definite must, as is experience of manufacturing quality and HSE systems.

You’ll need to be competent with a PC and familiar with Microsoft office products. Knowledge in problem solving and statistical analysis techniques is desirable. You’ll be talking to a variety of people across the business so strong communication, team working & people skills are vital. We are looking for a positive attitude to innovation & change and a desire to learn new systems and processes.

Initially the position will be working regular hours – 8-5, and then after 6 months you’ll transition to the evening shift which is 2-10pm.

This is not a box ticking or clipboard based position! We need someone who is interested in helping and developing others to take a quality approach to the work they do – be it design, test or manufacturing. A sense of humour and a cheerful disposition is welcomed.
