Fantastic opportunity within a global automotive engineering product leader for a System Simulation Engineer (Vehicle System Model – 0D / 1D physical models) to play a significant role moving the simulation and digital engineering processes to the next-level.
The main purpose of the job; is to validate and continue development of a scalable, modular Vehicle System Model, which will feed into the development of a unified standard simulation platform that will be utilised globally, to enhance the Model Based Development processes. To explore and develop MBD simulation methodologies, bias on existing and new approaches.
This project will keep the business at the fore-front of simulation technology for future powertrains (Hybrid, PHEV, EV, Battery etc.), using cutting-edge tools and processes. You will join a small focused team and play a significant role in the success of this programme. Due to the importance of the role, this is a fantastic opportunity to immediately have a profile with senior managers in the UK and overseas as the project takes-shape.
Ideally you will already have gained at least 2+ years proven engineering experience post-graduation; this may have come from a System Engineer / Simulation Engineer role in-industry, or a Simulation Research role within academia.
Ideal proven experience:
- Model based development, multi-physics 0D/ 1D simulation,
- PC based data analysis (Matlab / Simulink)
- One of: Amesim / AVL Cruise / Dymola / GT Suite
- Scripting experience (Python / Matlab)
- Data acquisition & calibration tools (ETAS INCA or ATI Vision)
