Our client is an innovative underwater robotic technology company whom is seeking a new Systems Engineering to join their Engineering team.

Summary of job: 
The Systems Engineer plays a pivotal role in creating designs and specifications of sub-sea products to accord with customer’s instructions, legal requirements and best practice.

Main duties and responsibilities:
? Create and technically coordinate multi-disciplinary system design solutions for our range of sub-sea products in electric underwater technology.
? Create concept designs for products in support of customer or internally funded projects.
? Define and undertake trade-off studies and assess the feasibility in support of new product developments.
? Prepares technical specifications for new products.
? Ensure that product verification and validation is consistent with product requirements.
? Act as the Design Authority within specific technical areas as defined by the company.
? Create, develop and maintain the company’s technology and product road map.
? Ensure designs comply with legal requirements, internationally recognised standards and best practice.
? Support the organisation generally in developing new business opportunities.
? Create, review and present technical papers to support company objectives.
? Promote within industry forums and committee.

Skills, qualifications and experience:
? Degree in Electronics or Mechanical Engineering.
? Engineering experience, at least 5 years.
? Knowledge of sub-sea engineering, ROV’s, system engineering techniques and processes.
? Broad knowledge of engineering disciplines including power electronics, digital electronics, embedded software, mechanical engineering and hydraulics.
? Substantial experience working within a system design discipline.
? Analytical and able to multi-task.
? Substantial experience reading and understanding schematics and technical information.
? Understand and be able to converse across a broad range of engineering disciplines.
