Senior Verification And Validation Engineer – Chassis Electronics
•Responsible for the complete Verification & Validation (HIL/SIL/DIL/In-vehicle) for Chassis Systems Software and Electronics
•Responsible for planning and strategizing program requirements for V&V.
•Responsible for developing and maintaining HIL/SIL/DIL environments, simulation models, instruments etc.
•Define and manage V&V test methods, fulfilling functional safety, legal, certification, and release requirements.
•Support Chassis, ADAS, Vehicle Dynamics, and Electrical team in troubleshooting bugs, performing virtual calibration, and reviewing technical results.
•Lead V&V discussions with suppliers, internal cross-functional teams, and partner OEM
•Manage, review and coordinate tests performed by our partner OEM and Tier 1
•Support advance engineering studies and prototype builds through simulations, and present reports and feedback to the technical and project management teams
•Demonstrable experience (5+ years) working with HIL/SIL environments
•Experience in Vehicle Dynamics/Chassis Controls and ADAS simulations
•Experience of Software release testing
•Proficient with software tool chains like CarMaker, VI-Grade, ADAMS, Matlab, Simulink, Visual C++, CANalyzer, CANape etc
•Proficient with real-time systems eg: dSpace, NI, Vector etc
•Awareness of latest Chassis technologies and roadmap
•Should have experience of the full product lifecycle, from concept through to vehicle launch
•Experience of Automotive product development systems (VPDS, FPDS, GPDS, NPDS etc)
•Practical experience of vehicle electrical architectures based upon Ethernet, CAN, LIN and Flexray
•Practical experience of diagnostic software tools and Measurement and Calibration tools.
•Understanding of Functional Safety and safety analysis techniques (HARA, FMEA, FTA, etc)
•Excellent communication and co-ordination skills - at ease coordinating a team of engineers and suppliers
•Flexible, enthusiastic, and methodical individual who is self-motivated, able to work well under own initiative and remain focused under pressure
•Ability to prioritise workload & manage external inputs/requests without supervision
•Willing to take responsibility and make decisions based on best judgement where data is not available
•Genuine interest in making efficient, sustainable products
•Electrical, Electronic Systems, Electro-mechanical, Automotive, or similar honours engineering degree. Other recognized engineering qualifications combined with relevant significant experience may be considered
•Full driving licence preferred but not essential
