The Role:  
•Responsible for the integration of Chassis Electronics systems from concept to production
•Responsible for Chassis ECUs software and electronics requirements definition
•Responsible for software development, verification, and validation in conjunction with the Software team
•Support the Chassis component team in the delivery of electrical and electrical systems requirements
•Lead the technical discussions with suppliers, internal cross-functional teams, and partner OEM
•Support and management of our partner OEM and Tier 1 suppliers for donor technology, new/modified designs, system calibration, validation, and certification
•Define and manage legal requirements and certification activities for Chassis Electronics systems
•Cross-function leadership and overall system integrator role between Electrical and Chassis Function Groups
•Lead and co-ordinate system reviews, calibration, and verification & validation activities throughout the development lifecycle
•Support prototype builds, validation (component, system & vehicle) and launch 
•Issue management support, from problem identification through to introduction of final countermeasure using company issue management system
•Provision of information, support, and training to Manufacturing and Service departments
•Preparation of reports and feedback to the technical and project management teams

The Person: 

•Demonstrable experience (5+ years) of Chassis electronics at a systems level, specifically in either EPAS and/or Semi active Suspension
•Experience of Software test and validation preferred
•Experience of ECU design an advantage
•Awareness of latest Chassis Electronics technology and roadmap
•Should have experience of the full product lifecycle, from concept through to vehicle launch 
•Experience of Automotive product development systems (VPDS, FPDS, GPDS, NPDS etc)
•Practical experience of vehicle electrical architectures based upon Ethernet, CAN, LIN and Flexray
•Practical experience of diagnostic software tools and Measurement and Calibration tools.
•Experience of delivering electrical systems in accordance with EMC requirements
•Understanding of Functional Safety and safety analysis techniques (HARA, FMEA, FTA, etc)
•Understanding of Cyber Security requirements and principles
•Excellent communication and co-ordination skills - at ease coordinating a team of engineers and suppliers
•Flexible, enthusiastic, and methodical individual who is self-motivated, able to work well under own initiative and remain focused under pressure
•Ability to prioritise workload & manage external inputs/requests without supervision 
•Willing to take responsibility and make decisions based on best judgement where data is not available 
•Genuine interest in making efficient, sustainable products 
•Electrical, Electronic Systems, Electro-mechanical, Automotive, or similar honours engineering degree. Other recognized engineering qualifications combined with relevant significant experience may be considered 
•No visa or other restrictions for working in the UK or travelling in the European Union
•Full driving licence preferred
