Job Description
Honda are seeking an Energy Recovery System Engineer to join them on a contract basis. The purpose of this role is to work within the Energy Recovery System (ERS) development and testing team, taking responsibility for trackside operations within the formula one customer team. This involves operating ERS trackside, managing any issues at the track and reporting those back to the factory base. This role will include weekend working.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Manage and operate ERS at formula one Trackside
• Support track side ERS Engineer in the mission control room
• Provide instruction to ERS technicians
• Support dyno testing activities in Japan, UK and any customer site
• Any other tasks as reasonably required by the Company
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
• Significant ERS exposure and experience
• Advanced user of data logging systems and analysis packages for F1
• Advanced ERS / Battery analysis, monitor and development experience
• ERS testing methodologies
• Fault finding and diagnostic abilities
• Excellent document presentational skills
• An adept communicator, be able to build good relationships across all cultures both internally and externally
• Fluency in spoken & written English is essential. Competence in Japanese or another European language is desirable
• Domestic Travel and Travel overseas will be required
