Automotive Sales / Business Development Managers

Our Engineering Consultancy client requires two new Automotive Sales / Business Development Managers to help support the growth of sales for the business. These roles are called Customer Relations Manager internally and would suit someone from the Automotive industry who likes being out on the road going out meeting new customers and building long term relationships hence the search for Sales / Business Development Managers from the Automotive industry with Engineering / Manufacturing business experience.
KEY PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:
The Customer Relations Manager will enable the business to achieve its strategic goals for the growth of the business, both with existing and new clients. You will be responsible for building key customer relationships, with existing customers ensuring that they are satisfied and positive. You will be maximising sales opportunities with existing clients, identifying potential new customers and converting these into new customers for the business.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ROLE:
? Work with and support the sales team across the UK, Germany, Italy and rest of European markets
? Continuously monitor and provide quarterly market research on developments, competitors and potential customers
? Build and maintain key customer relationships to ensure that sales opportunities are maximised and the customer is satisfied
? Act as a driving force for behind generating new sales leads and contracts
? Be responsible for following up and developing new business opportunities and targeting new markets; identifying business opportunities and keeping abreast of current market conditions
? Set up and attend meetings with both new and existing clients, ensuring that the company is represented in a professional way and our products and services are presented clearly
? Produce detailed proposals and presentations which meet the needs of the customer requirements
? Attend relevant conferences, seminars, shows, exhibitions and networking events to actively generate leads
? Follow up on all sales enquiries in a timely manner
? Achieve agreed sales targets and KPI’s
? Implement & manage a Sage CRM system and ensure that it is used effectively by the team.
HEADLINE SKILLS, EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS:
ESSENTIAL:
? Previous sales experience gained in the automotive industry is essential for this role
? Strong commercial awareness
Good understanding of digital marketing and media relations
? Strong communication, negotiation and influencing skills
? Project management and planning across multiple projects
? IT literate – MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
? High aptitude in problem solving
? Able to build relationships and work across teams and departments
? Confidential approach to all work
? Fast, proactive, alive to new opportunities
? Able to work to tight deadlines, under pressure
? Ambitious, reliable and passionate
? Professional attitude
? Full clean driving licence.
DESIRABLE:
? Experience in event management
? Proficiency with CRM Software
? Languages skills
? HTML, Word press, Adobe Software such Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and Premiere
