The Role

We are looking for an Import & Export Coordinator to join the Shipping team, supporting the smooth and compliant movement of goods across UK and global markets.

This role will be responsible for the accurate processing of import and export activity, supporting sales and repair shipments, maintaining compliance with relevant regulations and providing effective support to internal customers.

You will play an important role in ensuring shipments are processed efficiently, documentation is accurate and import/export controls are maintained.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the transaction and preparation of appropriate paperwork for all global sales and repair shipments.
  • Process UK inbound freight shipments, ensuring deliveries are monitored and customs regimes are adhered to, with clearance provided in a timely manner.
  • Ensure that, where applicable, duties, taxes and other costs are minimised without jeopardising service.
  • Ensure all import/export information is accurately recorded and maintained for auditing purposes.
  • Maintain import/export controls to ensure compliance with regulatory agencies, covering sales, miscellaneous shipments, export-controlled shipments, procurement supplies and product returns.
  • Process import and export (C88) documentation by validating information and monitoring amendments via appropriate service providers where necessary.
  • Liaise with internal customers where import/export issues impact compliance obligations.
  • Support the development of procedures to standardise and streamline global import and export processes.
  • Process all UK/global repair orders, ensuring orders are captured, reviewed and processed accurately and on time.
  • Provide support to internal customers.

About You

You will have experience working within import/export and a good understanding of current import/export regimes and compliance requirements.

We are looking for someone who is organised, self-motivated and able to prioritise their workload with minimum supervision. Strong attention to detail and a pragmatic approach to problem solving are important, alongside good communication and IT skills.

Essential Experience & Skills

  • Experience of current import/export regimes and compliance.

  • Experience working within a warehouse environment.

Qualifications

  • A Level or good GCSE standard.
