Are you an experienced automotive engineer with a strong interest in vehicle security, connected technologies and emerging automotive threats?

We’re looking for a Senior Vehicle Security Engineer to join a leading organisation at the forefront of automotive research and vehicle security. This is an exciting opportunity to use your technical expertise to influence manufacturers, insurers and wider industry stakeholders while helping shape the future of vehicle security.

The Role

You’ll lead and deliver technical research into vehicle security and theft prevention, investigating emerging vehicle technologies, vulnerabilities and attack vectors.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading technical research and complex engineering projects.
  • Analysing emerging vehicle theft trends and security risks.
  • Researching connected vehicles, electronic architectures, software-driven systems and communication networks.
  • Developing and enhancing vehicle security assessment and testing protocols.
  • Producing technical reports and presenting findings to customers and industry audiences.
  • Working with manufacturers, suppliers, insurers and industry bodies to share insight and influence best practice.

About You

You’ll have significant automotive sector experience and strong engineering knowledge, ideally with experience of vehicle security systems, connected vehicles, electrical architectures or automotive software.

You’ll also bring:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience delivering technical or research projects.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • The confidence to present complex technical information clearly.

A relevant engineering degree, knowledge of UK/EU regulations, insurance experience or familiarity with vehicle development processes would be advantageous but is not essential.
