The Role
We’re looking for a hands-on Manufacturing Design Engineer to help turn innovative designs into reality. You’ll optimise additive manufacturing processes, create build files, implement post-processing methods, and analyse hardware performance to ensure top-quality components.
What You’ll Do
• Optimise AM process parameters for both specific applications and broader use cases
• Generate build files, designing part orientation, nesting, and supports
• Implement post-processing and CNC machining for ready-to-use components
• Analyse and improve AM hardware performance through experimental methods
What We’re Looking For
• Mechanical Engineering degree (2:1 or equivalent)
• 1+ years’ experience in design or manufacturing engineering
• Strong CAD skills (SolidWorks, Fusion 360, or similar)
• Excellent problem-solving and practical solution skills
• Organised, adaptable, and able to manage multiple projects
• Hands-on attitude and strong collaboration skills
Bonus Points
• Experience with metal additive manufacturing
• Exposure to aerospace, automotive, or electronics industries
• Knowledge of traditional manufacturing techniques
• Research or thesis experience in a relevant field
