Role Overview
We are seeking a Software Engineer to contribute to the full development lifecycle—from capturing and prioritising requirements to user acceptance testing and deployment. You will collaborate closely with materials scientists, engineers, and technicians to build high-performance software used for data management, design optimisation, model integration, and production quality assurance.

Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain platforms for:
Data management, traceability, and visualisation
Predictive modelling and optimisation
Material composition design
Component design and build preparation
Statistical process control and production quality assurance
Work within an agile development team alongside domain experts
Contribute to all stages of product development, including story creation, testing, and documentation
Solve complex technical challenges through innovative, practical solutions

Essential Skills
Degree (2:1 or above) in a STEM field
Proficiency in C#, C++, or Python
Strong understanding of software design principles and patterns
Hands-on experience with test-driven development
Solid OOP skills and enthusiasm for applied engineering or scientific applications
Effective communication, collaboration, and problem-solving abilities
Highly organised, proactive, and self-motivated

Desirable Skills
Containerisation (e.g., Docker)
ASP.NET Core / Blazor
JavaScript or TypeScript (e.g., React)
3D geometry programming
WPF
Machine-learning model development
CI/CD pipelines
Infrastructure-as-code (e.g., Terraform for Azure/AWS)
