An opportunity is available for an experienced Software Project Engineer (Inside IR35) to develop embedded control software for electric and hybrid vehicle systems (xEV). This role focuses on Vehicle Control Unit (VCU) software, using Model-Based Design (Matlab/Simulink/Stateflow) and C programming. You'll be involved from initial requirements through to prototype testing.
Key Responsibilities

Design and verify control software for xEV VCU systems

Work with system/software requirements and V-cycle development

Conduct testing on HiL rigs and prototype vehicles

Support full lifecycle software development
Essential Skills & Experience

Strong Matlab/Simulink/Stateflow skills

Embedded systems development

Understanding of xEV powertrains and functional safety

Engineering degree (2:1 or higher)
Desirable Experience

C/C++ programming

ISO26262, AUTOSAR, ASPICE

HiL/MIL/SIL verification

Vehicle networks: CAN, LIN, FlexRay

Experience with dSpace Scalexio
