Our client is a market leading environmental sensor design & manufacturing company working in a variety of industry sectors, including Naval Defence, Maritime & Marine Science & Technology.
We are recruiting for a Quality/HSE Manager to lead, develop, and maintain the Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental processes across the company.
Key duties:
• Effective management and administration of the organisation’s ISO 9001 Quality Management System (QMS)
• Ensure the company is compliant with new legislation and changes to existing legislation.
• Conduct internal audits, undertake site and project quality inspections.
• Proactively champion quality best practice throughout the business.
• Analyse complaints and non-conformances from internal and external audits, in collaboration with the Supply Chain Team.
• Evaluate and analyse suppliers and sub-contractors in accordance with Quality Management System requirements, in collaboration with the Supply Chain Manager.
• Manage budgets and drive improvements
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
• Proven track record of driving continuous quality improvement in a manufacturing environment are required.
• Strong understanding of business operations and financial principles.
• Strong leadership skills and the ability to inspire others.
• Excellent problem-solving, organisational, and communication skills. Works well under pressure and is a good critical thinker.
• Relevant industry experience or degree in a relevant subject related to engineering or manufacturing.
• Relevant certification – e.g. NEBOSH, COSHH, NGC, GC3, IOSH, First Aid at Work, Fire Warden, ESD, ISO9001 QMS Internal auditing.
Security Clearance Essential Security clearance will be applied for on appointment – UK passport holders required plus proof of residency in UK for last 5 years.
