Are you an experienced mechanical engineer with deep automotive expertise, ready to lead the development and industrialisation of cutting-edge vehicle products? Doftek is looking for a Senior Automotive Mechanical Engineer to take ownership of our mechanical engineering activities and ensure our actuators perform flawlessly on every vehicle they integrate with.

This isn’t a vehicle design role—you’ll be developing products for integration into vehicles, ensuring they are manufacturable, reliable, and ready for series production.

What You’ll Do
•    Lead all mechanical engineering activities at Doftek
•    Design and develop actuators and mechanical components, from one-off test samples to series-intent production. CAD, 2D drawing, and FEA skills are essential.
•    Manage outsourced partners to ensure proper industrialisation of products for series production.
•    Assemble actuators for bench testing and fit them to test vehicles, including Doftek and OEM cars.
•    Design, commission, and run performance and durability test rigs.
•    Manage customer sample and demo car projects from scoping to delivery.
•    Oversee the Doftek workshop and a team of engineers.
•    Act as the lead mechanical engineer in customer meetings, providing technical expertise and guidance.
•    Travel to customer sites and test tracks across Europe as required.

What We’re Looking For
•    Extensive knowledge of the automotive sector, especially end-to-end product development and integration.
•    Experience on either OEM or Tier 1 side (Tier 1 experience a plus).
•    Strong mechanical design skills including CAD, 2D drawings, FEA, DFM/DFC principles.
•    Experience managing outsourced partners and ensuring industrialisation for series production.
•    Hands-on experience assembling, testing, and fitting mechanical components on vehicles.
•    Ability to lead and mentor other mechanical engineers.
•    Comfortable being customer-facing and representing Doftek in meetings and at test sites.
•    Willingness to travel in Europe as required.

Why Doftek?
Join a fast-growing automotive technology company at the forefront of actuator development. This role offers the chance to take full ownership of mechanical engineering across product development and industrialisation, working directly with customers and shaping the products that go into next-generation vehicles.
