Scope of Role

Responsible for setting up and running the program Module/Commodity team and ensuring technical and commercial aspects of program deliverables.
An ideal candidate would build strong in Technical Delivery, relationships and work effortlessly across multiple engineering departments such as manufacturing, supplier quality, purchasing, and service as well as the rest of the program management teams.

Area of Responsibility
This position is responsible for establishing, planning and running the engineering sub-system meetings to ensure appropriate cross-functional representation and input from all relevant areas.

Responsibilities:
•    Owning your defined module where new engineering systems and components are developed. 
•    Plan projects and reporting on progress to management.
•    Attend key meetings and coordinate cross-functional reviews.
•    Ensure your Module progression of design initial concept through to Engineering Sign-Off and design gateways.
•    Set and deliver Cost& weight targets for the module.
•    Ensure Regulatory compliance of all Cockpit System (Instrument Panel/Floor Console/CCB).
•    Define and deliver appropriate system-level engineering targets to meet function, quality and attribute requirements of the Vehicle Program
•    Ensure that all products meet the specification requirements and project targets through a documented DVP.
•    Keep track and ensure the resolution of all Validation issues.
•    Develop System Design Specifications incorporating engineering standards, test procedures and material specifications.
•    Lead Failure Mode Avoidance activities including DFMEA, quality history reviews development tests.
•    Ensuring all relevant documentation as per ISO& quality standards.
•    Lead the resolution of design, attribute or packaging incompatibilities through the appropriate cross-functional meetings. 
•    Support the Purchasing team in Sourcing and RFQ activities.
•    Support vehicle launch and pre-production builds (both virtual and physical) 
•    Ensuring the effective application of APQP to manage Module delivery

Knowledge / Experience 
•    Strong Technical Background in cockpit system. Delivered End to End Technical solution with domestic and Global clients. 
•    Deep knowledge of cockpit systems, materials, and integration techniques, responsible for technical decisions, ensuring that cockpit systems meet safety, ergonomic, regulatory, and performance standards.
•    Proven program management capability demonstrated by recent delivery in line with time, Cost, Quality & attribute targets
•    Demonstrate you have delivered at least 2 programs from concept to SOP.
•    Ability to work with cross-functional teams.
•    Ability to develop timing plans for complex programs, understating of financial implications.
•    Proven experience and deep knowledge in the development and/or integration of Interior Cockpit Systems and Interior Mechanisms (Instrument Panel/Floor Console/CCB).
•    Engineering knowledge of defined component(s) / system(s) design, function, performance, production & manufacturing requirement
•    Excellent communication skills demonstrated ability to communicate at all levels.
•    Liaise with Customer, supplier, Manufacturing, CAE and validation Teams.
•    PC Literacy: Microsoft Project, Power Point, Excel, Word etc.,
•    CAD Literacy: Ability to review CAD data and Master sections in CATIA V5/V6/NX. 
•    Good understanding of BOM management, tracking changes to parts, tools
•    Significant experience in use of engineering tools FMEA, Six Sigma, Problem Resolution, Issue Management etc.
