Senior Project Manager

Are you a proven Project Manager with experience in driving multiple engineering and technology projects through to successful delivery? This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast-paced technology scale-up, where you’ll play a pivotal role in leading complex, high-value projects from bid stage through to production.
The Role
As Senior Project Manager, you’ll bring a blend of strategic, technical and leadership expertise to manage 4–8 concurrent projects at various stages of their lifecycle. Working closely with senior leaders and stakeholders, you’ll ensure delivery against milestones, budgets and quality standards while influencing direction across the business.
This role requires someone resilient, results-driven and commercially aware, who thrives in a scale-up environment and can balance multiple priorities without losing focus on detail.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the full project lifecycle from bid through to production delivery.
- Apply project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, gated processes) to ensure successful outcomes.
- Drive quality and process management (APQP, Six Sigma) across all projects.
- Manage bids using structured approaches such as the Shipley Process.
- Control project budgets, forecasts and financial reporting (Earned Value, Present Value).
- Identify, assess and mitigate risks across technical, financial and schedule areas.
- Allocate resources effectively across multiple live projects.
- Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders, OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers.
- Motivate and inspire cross-functional teams to deliver on-time, on-budget and to a high standard.
About You
- Experienced Senior Project Manager with 5+ years in project/programme leadership.
- Background in engineering or technology (scale-up experience highly desirable).
- Proven success delivering multiple complex, technical projects simultaneously.
- Strong commercial awareness and financial acumen.
- Confident working directly with OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers.
- Excellent communication, leadership and problem-solving skills.
- Comfortable challenging and improving processes in a growing, evolving organisation.
Qualifications & Skills
- Degree in Engineering or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Project management certification (PMP, PRINCE2, CSM) desirable.
- Six Sigma Green/Black Belt highly advantageous.
- Strong working knowledge of APQP.
- Proficiency with project management tools (e.g. Jira, Trello, MS Project).
