Are you a high-performing mechanical engineer ready to lead cutting-edge projects in power electronics and eTurbo systems? This is an exciting opportunity to join a forward-thinking organisation where your technical expertise and leadership will drive innovation across a range of dynamic applications.
We’re looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineer to act as a technical authority, leading key design efforts and mentoring a skilled team of engineers. You’ll play a pivotal role in shaping the development of advanced mechanical systems – from early-stage concept to fully validated solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead mechanical design activities across complex, cross-functional projects.
Develop and manage detailed 3D CAD models (SolidWorks preferred) and perform robust design analysis including stress, thermal, and fluid flow.
Conduct tolerance analysis, material selection, and DFMA.
Define test plans and instrumentation for development and compliance testing.
Support supplier validation, quality issue resolution, and engineering change management.
Coach and mentor junior engineers, with potential line management responsibilities.
Drive continuous improvement of engineering tools, processes, and documentation.
What You’ll Need:
A relevant engineering degree (2:1 or higher) and Chartered Engineer status.
Proven experience with CAD design, preferably SolidWorks.
A strong background in packaging power electronics, especially for harsh or vibrating environments.
Familiarity with FMEA, regulatory compliance (e.g. CE marking), and New Product Introduction (NPI) cycles.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate across functions and influence effectively.
Why Apply?
This role offers the opportunity to make a tangible impact on innovative technologies while working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. You'll have the autonomy to lead technical decisions, improve processes, and help shape the future of high-performance systems. If you're motivated by technical challenge, continuous learning, and engineering excellence, we want to hear from you.
