Paris Williams

Paris is one of the most positive people we know and is comfortable speaking to anyone. She works hard to fully understand client and candidate requirements down to the finest detail and isn’t happy unless she is providing the best service she can offer, placing great value on strong, sustainable relationships. Take all of these qualities into account and it’s pretty clear why she was a shoe-in for the Gerrell & Hard brand.

Background

Paris began her career working in an engineering customer service team, logging faults and ensuring engineers were deployed to fix them. Later, as an estimator in a mechanical engineering environment, she gained experience in quotes, pricing, faults diagnosis and part costs. It was here that she recognised how much she enjoyed helping people, and conceived of an ambition to dig deeper into the service industry. She approached Gerrell & Hard after learning about our culture from one of our team, and, having seized every opportunity to develop her skills, quickly proved herself a valuable member of the team.

Role at Gerrell & Hard

Paris supports the G&H consultants with their requirements, spending a lot of time speaking to candidates and resourcing the best individuals for our client vacancies. Having gained valuable experience qualifying roles and establishing candidate expertise and requirements, she is increasingly working her own roles as well as managing several clients.

Free time

Paris says she enjoys “an on-off relationship with fitness - and a more permanent relationship with dining out and spending time with family and friends!” But hang on, don’t be deceived by her modesty about her sporting feats...

Paris, tell us something your customers might not know about you.

“I cycled 150 miles from Gosport to Brighton and back to raise money for the Oakley Waterman Foundation in 2016.”

See?

What do you most enjoy about your job?

“I wanted a lot of customer interaction and I got it! I really enjoy that part of my role and feel very positive about taking responsibility for my own career, learning and getting stuck in. I enjoy the autonomy, the coaching, the trust and flexibility of the environment, and I’m proud to have enjoyed great success in my first year.

I feel like I still have loads to learn and have only just dipped my toe in the water. Based on what I’ve seen here, I consider the time to mastery in quality recruitment to be somewhere around ten years, and I’m really excited about learning everything I can.”
