Vehicle Integration Engineer

Personal attributes

Regular Tasks & Responsibilities:
•Lead cross functional technical issue resolution, providing innovative solutions for problems. 
•Ensuring balance of all functions & design conflicts, and generate design solutions to achieve this
•Ensure compatibility of the vehicle design for manufacturing & service
•Jointly responsible for the Vehicle Packaging, develop and monitor achievement of overall vehicle technical targets integrating Design, CAE, legal and performance criteria
•Be responsible for creating & documenting vehicle & package design guidelines
•Competent at leading cross-functional package & design studies (ideally within BEV / HV automotive environment)
•Creation, modification, management & delivery of ergonomics & design physical buck 

Required Skills & Experience: 
•Whole Vehicle Set-up (Concepts & Package Layouts)
•Vehicle Level Homologation support and integration
•Experience with Upper Cabin & Roofing Systems
•Experience with Occupant Set-up, Vision & Ergonomics Assessments
•Experienced Catia V5 Designer, proficient in Surface Development & Part Design, with good understanding of material & process selection, and their design constraints
•Excellent verbal and written communication skills
•Well-organised and methodical approach to planning and executing studies, with minimal supervision
•Excellent interpersonal & organisational skills, with good attention to detail
•Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
•Able to work in start-up environment

Desirable Experience:
•Low car and sports car experience in multiple functions
•Trained in 3D ergo and/or CAVA
•Experience in design and development of HV systems

Academic Requirements
You’ll have a minimum of 5 years relevant automotive experience, with a high level of exposure to vehicle packaging and attribute/functional integration. Your experience will include production-oriented approach towards automotive development, with a comprehensive understanding of low-medium volume component manufacturing and assembly and a demonstrable track record of bringing low-medium volume products to market, and a thorough understanding of CAD (CATIA) proficient to deliver key packaging and analysis tasks.
