Department overview
The Electrical Integration team is responsible for vehicles’ electrical architectures, functional safety and cyber-security. Our customers expect us to ensure their safety, security and privacy and our engineering design process is central to ensuring that we meet these expectations.
Current trends toward connectivity and increased levels of autonomy bring new challenges; we are looking for someone with the experience and commitment to lead our product development team’s strategy and processes for cyber security.
Job Purpose
To ensure that our products, processes and people are prepared for emerging cyber security risks. Working with our development engineers and suppliers you’ll lead our vehicle cyber security strategy and the processes required to deliver it
Key Responsibilities and Tasks
Create and communicate the company’s cyber security strategy for future products.
Recommend and implement appropriate cyber security standards and processes
Act as a central source of knowledge on cyber security related topics
Own and maintain vehicle Cyber security requirements specifications
Cascade requirements and monitor delivery against the across multiple commodity areas
Lead the technical assessment of the impact of security on components and negotiate solutions with component owners
Support technical suppliers who are delivering security related features to ensure compliant and timely delivery
Actively participate in the application of cyber security best practices to product development projects and programs
Assess future products for risks, develop mitigation plans, and support the implementation of these plans.
Collaborate with our cyber security research team
Key Skills and Experience
Relevant Bachelor’s degree
3+ years of experience in a cyber security position with technical cyber security expertise and knowledge
Software and systems knowledge of complex vehicle systems
Proven project delivery experience
The ability to lead teams and provide high levels of motivation
Systems engineering experience
Strong inter-personal skills, communication and leadership attributes
Familiarity with automotive network architecture, modules, and protocols (CAN etc.)
Familiarity with Secure Coding practices, processes and methods
Ability to develop and maintain technical documentation as required
Penetration testing and tools experience
Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, SANS GMOB/GPEN or ITIL.
Experience with embedded systems (HW, SW and various operating systems)
