Upstream Senior Programme Manager
£50,000 - £75,000 plus bonus (depending on experience)

Our client is an innovative global technology enterprise and they are seeking a Senior Programme Manager on their research design development side of their business on site in Wiltshire.

This role will suit someone with experience of managing upstream projects from innovation concept stage through to feasibility design.

They require someone with a min of 5 years’ experience, who has a strong project management background, well qualified, experience of running multiple complex engineering projects and used to working with researchers, new product development engineering teams at the concept start of the product.

To be considered for this role you must have strong concept / upstream / new product development experience, not having just touched upon this through the whole product lifestyle.

Our Senior Programme Manager will support a portfolio of RDD upstream projects. You will have regular engagement with Senior Leaders and Engineering Managers in order to secure and maintain each project setup (objectives, scope, approach, plan, governance, budget, success factors). You will deploy and maintain a solid set of project management principles, concepts and tools (processes, system and communication) enabling a proactive mitigation of Time, Spec, Cost and Resource risks. You will manage stakeholders; identifying and resolving conflicts and empowering the team to secure the delivery of their key objectives.

Strong communication and inter-personal skills
Academically strong ; analytical mindset with attention to details
Strong and clear project management principles
Self-motivated and able to resolve conflicts, inspire teams, develop and promote Project Management principles and best practice
In-depth understanding and application of business processes, project governance methods and operating framework
Experience of delivering complex engineering projects 
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite including Microsoft Project
