Hours are Monday – Friday: 9.00am - 4.00pm (There can be a degree of flexibility with regards to working hours, particularly if someone wants part time)
Brilliant opportunity for a Training Officer to work with colleagues across the business to identify and deliver operational training needs in the production department; taking a continuous improvement approach. You will be a charismatic individual with the ability to engage and motivate colleagues by consistently delivering and developing training material for in-house practical training sessions supported by computer based presentations of Work Instructions and Standard Operating Procedures.
You’ll need to have a proven track record of creating and delivering bespoke training and the ability to assess the skills and knowledge within the organisation; with a particular focus on health and safety requirements. We are looking for initiative & someone who can tackle challenges with enthusiasm as well as the ability to react to rapid changes in prioritisation whilst maintaining a clear focus on the overall company objectives.
In this varied position you’ll be responsible for:
• Identify training and development needs
• Design all training and development programmes, including producing the training materials for in-house courses
• Ensure that all statutory training requirements are met
• Delivery of all UK mandatory training e.g. Health and Safety, Manual handling
• Keeping up to date with changes to laws and legislation and providing regular updates to the departments affected
• Providing accurate administration and record keeping for all training programmes
• Prioritising training requirements and workload
• Work closely with the UK Production support team in developing their team leaders & supervisors
• Organisation of the resources required to perform training sessions
• Monitor and review the progress of trainees
• Continual refinement of training programs and course material based on best practice and feedback
• Development and delivery of effective induction programmes

• Expertise in manufacturing principles and supporting with any technical issues to improve operator capabilities
• Teaching qualifications
• St Johns Ambulance Trainer
• NEBOSH certified
This position would suit someone who has superb communication and interpersonal skills and has the ability to lead, coordinate training activities. This would appeal to those who love working within both a modern manufacturing environment.
