Tooling & Layout CAD Engineer

Description:
Are you keen to work on a battery electric vehicle project. This role sits within the Manufacturing team of our Automotive function. 

Accountabilities:
Working within the Advanced Manufacturing Engineer function you will be responsible for maintaining the master site layout, integrating the individual process layouts with the building model, ensuring the master layout is always up to date.

Provide CAD support for the development of layout scenarios both facility wide and at the process specific level.
This will involve extensive liaison with the builder, a number of process equipment suppliers and internal stake holders.

Provide CAD support to AME team to develop both concepts and detailed designs for assembly aids and tooling.
Data coordination role, controlling the availability of data from the AME team to external partners, ensuring that procedures on data sharing are adhered to at all times.
 
Skills:
Have experience of using the following CAD systems.
-Highly experienced in the use of AutoCAD or similar CAD layout package.
-Team Centre and Siemans NX to manipulate CAD data

Experience of producing new layouts from ground up and modifying existing.
Proven ability in developing facility layout options and scenario evaluation.
Good general understanding of whole car configuration with experience of manipulation CAD parts, with a detailed understanding of part build up into systems and sub-assemblies.
Previous experience of designing assembly tooling and aids ideally in an automotive environment however general manufacturing environmental would be considered.
