Job Description

An excellent opportunity has become available with our Motorsport & Automotive client for a Stores Manager. They work on a wide scope of projects from racing cars competing in series such as the World Touring Car Championship, prototype vehicles, fully electric supercars and concept cars. This is a critical role for the business, and is accountable for managing and leading a small team to ensure that inventory levels are accurate, materials are processed through the business promptly and the companies ERP system is appropriately maintained and updated. 
 
Applicants will require previous experience of an MRP / ERP System, and ideally some experience in the Automotive or Motorsport industries.
 
Job Description/Responsibilities:
 
Have a clear understanding of the company’s policies and vision and how the Stores Department contributes to these
Motivate, organise and encourage teamwork within the Stores Department to ensure productivity targets are met or exceeded
To control and organise stores staff so that they are effective in delivering an excellent service to all internal stakeholders/departments
Develop a culture of teamwork and continuous improvement
Organise the recruitment and training of staff, as well as monitoring staff performance and progress
Supervise all resources allocated to the stores
Plan future capacity requirements (ensure the floor plan of the stores area is fit for purpose and being utilised to its full capacity/potential as the business, projects develop)
Keep stock control systems up to date and make sure inventories are accurate
Ensure that all incoming goods have accompanying paperwork 
 
Required Skills:
Excellent communication skills
Proficient using Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook
Previous use of an MRP/ERP system is Essential
Previous use of Syteline -Desirable but not Essential
Prioritisation skills
Ability to work without close supervision
High quality attention to detail
Fork-lift driving license
Knowledge of Manufacturing Bills Of Manufacture/Material (BOM) 
Basic mechanical knowledge of fundamental items such as fixings and fastenings and fundamental automotive parts
