Job Description

A great opportunity for an aspiring quality professional who is interested in taking the lead of the Quality function for our client in Hampshire. You'll have overall responsibility for the Quality, Health, Safety & Environmental Management System to enable on-going  ISO9001, ISO14001, and OHSAS18001 accreditation. A major part of the role is to lead and develop quality assurance improvement projects within the supplier base, as 90% of their product is manufactured by outsourced suppliers.

The position is pretty hands on and would probably suit an experienced Quality Engineer or Quality Manager who has worked for a small manufacturing company and is able to manage the QMS and drive CI projects.

Although a Degree in a technical discipline is preferred, this client is open minded on this. Experience in similar manufacturing environment delivering to OEM customers including knowledge of quality control processes, continuous improvement tools, ISO9001, 14001 & OHSAS18001 standards is required. The ability to develop and implement simple and robust processes, from scratch, through good understanding of the requirements of the base standard and outstanding clarity of thought.

This position would suit someone who has strong analytical ability, a clear thinker, with the ability to assimilate and analyse large amounts of data quickly.

We need someone who has the ability to communicate effectively at all levels, verbally, in writing and in group settings. Demonstrates and promotes openness, welcoming, listening to and accommodating others’ input. An excellent team worker who is able to influence others.

This position would suit a quality professional who is able to develop both a mature QMS system as well as manufacturing suppliers, both in the UK and overseas.

You might be either a Quality Engineer looking to progress into a QM position, or an experienced Quality Manager who is able to take this company to the next level.
