Our Motorsport client are looking to appoint a Senior Powertrain Software, Controls & Calibration Engineer to deliver Powertrain Engineering Projects.
They can offer a wide scope of projects from racing cars competing in series such as the World Touring Car Championship, prototype vehicles, fully electric supercars and concept cars.
The successful candidate will be qualified to at least 2:1 degree in a relevant Engineering discipline or equivalent relevant experience.
Using your fundamental understanding of powertrain systems and strong Matlab/Simulink skills you will be able to generate embedded code to control all aspect of the powertrain (ICE, Hybrid or EV). You will then be able to develop robust calibration through testing and simulation.
Essential experience / skills:
- Experience writing embedded control software.
- Calibration of Automotive (ICE, Hybrid and EV) powertrains.
- Generation of system FMEAs
- Compliance to ISO26262
- Powertrain calibration
- Expertise with calibration and data analysis tools
- Embedded coding
Desirable experience / skills:
- Analogue electronics design experience
- Microcontroller design experience
