Job Description

Founded in 2019, we are building electric trucks specifically to be used in and around cities and urban areas. The company’s ambition is to remove tailpipe emissions, reduce city pollution, and completely redesign the vehicle to make it significantly safer – for drivers as well as pedestrians and cyclists. The Role
You will be responsible for project engineering delivery of hardware systems for Interior systems, Cockpit & Safety Restraints.  Working alongside a team of design engineers, you will ensure that component specifications and designs are in line with project targets for cost, time and quality.  You will liaise with suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth and efficient delivery from initial concept to series production and beyond. The scope of this role includes interior hardware, cockpit & safety restraints.

Main Responsibilities
• Specify and select appropriate standard hardware solutions for interior applications
• Work with a team of design engineers to plan and deliver custom components and systems which meet their project targets
• Support the selection of materials, tooling methods and key technologies
• Liaise with suppliers to support quotation and selection/nomination processes
• Oversee all aspects of the development life cycle including requirements, regulatory standards, attribute definition, FMEA, and DVP
• Develop functional Bill of Materials to ensure completeness and consistency
• Plan and control delivery to meet product and project targets for performance, robustness, cost, weight and timing
• Support the vehicle development programme to ensure that the Body and Trim execution enables the vehicle to meet its attribute targets and functionality
• Ensure that requirements for updates, improvements, cost reductions or modifications are met during the production life of the vehicles

Qualifications and Experience 
• 5 years+ automotive engineering experience in interior systems for demanding applications
• University degree in a relevant engineering topic
• Good understanding of requirements, specification and verification/validation methods
• Hands-on approach to engineering, practical and enthusiastic
• Strong communication skills and fluent in English
• Strong team leadership and interpersonal skills, cross cultural understanding, organizing and coordinating ability
• Ability to drive and complete tasks independently, task oriented and high attention to detail
• Ability to work in a complex and ambiguous environment
• Positive and passionate, good team player
