Role Responsibilities
- Ensure all H&S and quality procedures have been adhered to
- Run customer engine test programs with high levels of efficiency
- Work with Principal Engineer to Deliver ‘Performance & Economy’ development projects
- Generate engine installation packs and schematics for accurate test bed setups
- Identify engine faults and lead effective solutions
- Process and validate engine test data to a high standard
- Analyse and present data and results to customers and peers
- Generate test reports tailored to specific customer requirements
- Provide technical support to customers and business development
- Track project efficiency and maintain project related invoicing
- Work well within a team environment
- Develop initiatives to reduce waste and optimise efficiency
- Develop best working practises and provide training to others

- Automotive/Mechanical Engineering Degree or HND plus relevant experience

- Must have a large breadth of experience in an automotive engineering discipline with a focus on mechanical engine attributes
- Experience with engine development testing techniques and methodology
- Strong understanding of gasoline and diesel engine mechanical fundamentals
- Proven exposure to gasoline and diesel ECM controls

- Project Management
- Organised with good communication skills
- High level of technical competence with a methodical approach
- Understanding of complex engines, testing techniques and associated equipment and tools
- A strong background in the use of engine test cell equipment software including emissions measurement, combustion analysis and calibration tools
- Skills in electronic, electrical and mechanical engine diagnostics
- Strong IT skills especially MS Excel
- Good understanding of H&S practices
