Job Description

Our client is a Global Automotive supplier located in Norfolk; they are looking to recruit a Senior Design Engineer with a range of skills to join the growing team.

Our client is a leading supplier of engineering and vehicle development services to major automotive OEMs and a growing number of niche vehicle manufacturers. Specialities include suspension systems, vehicle dynamics, carbon fibre structural components, mechanisms and mechatronics.

As the Design engineer, you will be involved in the concept and development of suspension systems, ranging from packaging and structural requirements to the detail design, modelling and drafting of precision components.

You will join a close dynamic team of engineers delivering high-end motorsport, OEM and niche vehicle projects, providing technical support mentoring and educating more junior engineers.

You will be involved in projects through all stages of production so should be familiar with production and development methods. Knowledge of suspension design and optimisation would be a distinct advantage as would an understanding of hydraulic systems design. The role will include the creation, sign off and release of technical drawings for components and assemblies as well as BOM creation, component validation and customer interface.

Education and Experience:
- You will hold a minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar or related position within the automotive or motorsport industry
- Engineering degree or equivalent
- NX or CATIA CAD systems.
- Suspension design experience is preferred but isn't essential, any component area will be considered
- Familiar with typical product development and part verification systems (e.g. FMEA, PPAP etc.)

To apply for this position you must be eligible to live and work in the UK.
