Key Objectives & Responsibilities:
You will require a mechatronics background to perform validation activities; ensuring accuracy, repeatability and industry standards are always met. This will include fixture design, creation of device specifications and innovative test methodologies.
You will be responsible for following validation plans and executing tests, gathering data and reporting on results to internal and external customers.
Reporting to the Principal Engineer Validation you will be a well-rounded mechatronics Engineer. You will be responsible for following validation plans and executing tests, gathering data and reporting on results to internal and external customers.
•Organising and undertaking both internal and external tests.
•Preparation of automated test rigs and equipment.
•Producing engineering reports for the validation of systems and components as per project requirements.
•Setup of data acquisition systems and provide support cross functionally.
•Development of Validation plans in accordance with function group and certification requirements.
•Support the writing of specifications and carrying out the validation against required procedures.
•Support internal and/or external customer meetings and reviews as required.
•Review of data and reporting of all results.
•Support function groups on pre/post-test sample reviews as required.
•Support test method development and/or continuous improvement projects as required.
•You will ideally have a bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a relevant area with at least 1 year of industry experience.
•Ability to apply fundamental engineering principles to the analysis and interpretation of test results.
•A creative approach to problem-solving with the ability to practically resolve issues and innovate where required.
•Proficient with all Microsoft Office tools.
•Good initiative, with the ability to manage own time and priorities.
•A flexible approach to work, with a desire to thrive in a dynamic and fast-moving environment.
•Strong communication skills (written, verbal and aural), good collaboration skills, and the ability to work effectively across teams within the organisation.
•Desirable: Experience in HV systems.
