Location: Gainsborough - Commutable from Sheffield, Nottingham, Lincoln.
The Quality Technician will assist in developing a total quality approach throughout the organisation with the emphasis on customer focus, working within the management systems. This will include communicating system shortfalls to the appropriate business groups and to offer advice and guidance on possible solutions.
•Carry out measurement verification of products using the CMM technology and/or using traditional measuring equipment as required
•Liaise with internal and external customers and suppliers on quality concerns by facilitating and supporting during preventive and corrective actions to ensure likelihood of reoccurring is minimised
•Assist production personnel in investigating and resolving non-conformances using problem solving methodologies such as 5Why and fishbone diagrams
•Carry out product and process audits/ shop floor inspections
•Carry out machine and process capability studies
•Carry out Measurement System Analysis (MSA) studies as required
•Co-ordinate calibration of measuring and verification equipment
•Carry out necessary documentation to ensure quality records and documentation is up to date

Education and Qualifications:
•Good general education with appropriate qualification or work experience within the engineering sector
•Computer literate (Excel/Word)
•Internal Auditor or Auditing experience
•Engineering drawing interpretation
•Experience in a quality role
•Experience of quality systems and data analysis ISO 9001 and IATF16949
•Working with quality tools and techniques (APQP, FMEA, PPAP, Problem solving techniques, etc)
•Experience of using Co-ordinate Measuring Machine (Faro)
•Experience of manufacturing environment
•Data analysis and report writing
•Ability to liaise and communicate at all levels
