Quality Management Systems (QMS) Engineer - Automotive
Permanent - Salary 28-35k
Coventry, West Midlands

Our Product development consultancy client is based in the Midlands, offering CAD, CAE, prototype and low volume manufacturing services. They are looking to expand their Quality Engineering team by recruiting several Engineers including a QMS Engineer (as below), a Warranty Administrator, a Trainee FMA Engineer and a Warranty Manager   with Automotive industry experience.

For the QMS Engineer the key purpose of the role is to ensure that the QMS is structured, documented, maintained, audited and continually improved to the highest possible standard.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ROLE:
? Documenting and maintaining the Quality and Environmental Management Systems to the required standards
? Creation, Monitoring and Maintenance of the procedures referenced within the Quality and Environmental Management System
? Plan and perform audits, recording both successes and failings in order to implement best practice
? Implement and aid to implement continual improvements to the Quality and Environmental Management Systems and all other business working practices
? Provide relevant quality training to internal personnel
? Produce policies and procedures
? Create Quality KPI’s to monitor and demonstrate the effectiveness and efficiency of the Quality and Environmental Management Systems

ESSENTIAL:
? Previous experience in a similar role at the same level. Within Production / Quality engineering within a fast paced, forward thinking automotive or similar environment.
? Proven track record in problem solving and development and implementation of new processes within a design and manufacturing environment
? Experience / qualification in auditing to TS16949 standards
? Experience / qualifications in automotive core tools APQP, MSA, PPAP, SPC & FMEA

DESIRABLE:
? HNC qualification or equivalent in Quality / Mechanical engineering or other closely related area
? Knowledge of SHE legislation
