We have an exciting opportunity for three Quality Engineers to join a Design, Development and Engineering Centre based in Surrey. This will be part of an expaniding Quality department working on a brand new supercar programme alongside other automotive engineering projects.

Responsibilities:
- Lead the project quality activity throughout the process from concept through toproduction
- Define & publish visual carbon & painted A-surface panels quality standards
- Manage the Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) activity to achieve PPAP approval of supplied components for the businesses products
- Support DFMEA & PFMEA activity and identification of critical and significantcharacteristics and ensure that these are identified correctly in the design & productionprocess.
- Responsible for the quality sign-off of supplier capability during the  supplier nomination process
- Support the Senior Quality Engineer to define & update the businesses measurement & inspection strategy
- Responsible for completing first article inspections
- Engage and manage our suppliers to consistently deliver products that meet ourdefined requirements
- Responsible for the preparation and maintenance of the Manufacturing Control Plans
- Responsible for the creation, analysis and application of the inspection procedures
- Responsible for the calculation of statistical capability on identified critical andsignificant characteristics
- Responsible for the completion of measurement systems analysis on new and existing equipment
- Support the development and maintenance of documented work instructions to conform to the control plan
- Support the Senior Quality Engineer activity relating to Type Approval & Conformity of Production
- Support new product launches to ensure that product quality meets the required standards
- Facilitate root cause analysis and corrective actions of quality issues and perform verification of corrective actions
- Facilitate the escalation of unresolved quality issues
- Conduct lessons learned sessions at the start of each project phase
- Promote techniques for continuous improvement such as Lean, Six-Sigma, Poka-Yoke (Error Proofing) and Measurement System Analysis
- Report on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) at project meetings and to clients
- In conjunction with the Engineering and Procurement functions, assist in resolving issues and generalqueries regarding supplier quality issues

Experience and Qualifications:
- Technical expertise in composites (structural or visual/painted panels), bonding, plastic mouldings, exterior trim, as well as experience and knowledge in assembly processes (4-7 years)
- Strong knowledge of Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), Production Part Approval Process (PPAP), Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA)
- Lean Manufacturing knowledge
- Working knowledge of ISO9001:2015 and IATF 16949:2016
- Understanding of ISO14001
- Metrology, Inspection Methods and Equipment including measurement arm experience
- Understanding and interpretation of engineering drawings
- Understanding of manufacturing processes
- Ability to work in a diverse and dynamic environment
- Planning and prioritizing of activities
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Negotiation skills
- Ability to present data effectively
- Understanding of Health and Safety practices
