Our technical engineering consultancy client is seeking a new Project Manager with experience of managing automotive, aerospace / rail projects due to the growth of their project portfolio.
KEY PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:
Project Management is the dynamic process that utilises the appropriate resources of the organisation in a controlled and structured manner, to achieve clearly defined objectives identified as strategic needs. It is always conducted within a defined set of constraints.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ROLE:
Responsible for overseeing the delivery of complex multi-material technology projects. This will include: Cost, Quality, Timing, Delivery, Resources & Profitability
Supporting Sales & Marketing to explore new opportunities and construction of quotations.
Ensuring that all customer related projects have Purchase Order coverage for the correct value as per the busineses quotation and negotiations
Managing, monitoring and controlling the timing and delivery of each project according to quoted deliverables and OEM gateway requirements
Liaising with core engineering management to set expectations, review objectives and ensure appropriate deployment of project resources
Reporting weekly and monthly the project team’s performance in the management meetings
Demonstrating leadership within your project team through strong communication and governance.
To directly interface with the associated customers, ensuring that the requirements of the projects are clearly understood and delivered as per the delivered quotations
To provide their team with daily motivation and to provide a positive outlook for their subordinates.
To ensure their team upholds TS16949 and other specific Penso systems
To uphold the core values of the company.
HEADLINE SKILLS, EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS:
ESSENTIAL:
Degree qualified or equivalent in a relevant Engineering subject
Relevant experience as Production / Quality engineer within a fast paced, forward thinking automotive or similar environment.
Have significant Project Management experience and have used Project Management systems
Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
Flexible attitude
Full driving licence as travel will be required as part of the role
DESIRABLE:
Ability to interface with customers and suppliers on both operational and statistical level
Organised, Methodical but Flexible approach to workload
Ability to manage one’s own time and prioritise workload accordingly
Proven track record in problem solving and development and implementation of new processes within a production and manufacturing environment
Confident approach to team interaction
Show leadership and directional skills within own subject area
