Job Description

Great opportunity for a Project Manager to take the lead on a 5 year site expansion project. You will be working closely with a Tier 1 Contractor & have overall responsibility for the initiation, planning, design, execution, monitoring, controlling and closure of all site projects.

We are looking for a Project/Site Manager who can deliver the projects in a safe, cost effective and timely manner: ensuring regular liaison with project sponsors and stakeholders from project inception to completion.  The role will focus on the clients’ requirements, value, project governance and overall compliance with industry best practice in the field of project management.

This position would suit a Project manager who has experience in an operational environment & is familiar with portfolio management, covering a wide range of diverse civil & construction based projects. Previous experience of effective contractor/ supplier management resulting in increased performance and reduced expenditure would be of interest.

We need a confident PM, who is able to make decisions, resolve problems and has the ability to deliver.  You’ll need to be self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision as your line manager will be based at another site.

If you have a working knowledge of NEC contracts and are used to working with civil engineering and construction project processes this would be the ideal. Any exposure of working in an airport operating environment, especially with regards to CAA and DfT requirements would be desirable.

The hiring manager is looking for a PM who can develop positive relationships, is passionate about project management, & is able to influence/negotiate with others using an inclusive communication style.

Professional qualifications such as Prince 2 will be expected.
