Our Automotive client are seeking a Project Engineer (Market Quality) to join their team on a permanent basis. 
 
The key objective of this role is to support the R&D function to resolve and prevent reoccurrence of Quality concerns. You will collaborate closely with factory and service colleagues to improve customer satisfaction and reflect know-how back to R&D head office to include in future products.
 
This may suit you if you have a relevant Degree in Automotive Engineering / Mechanical Engineering or Electrical/ Electronics, and some good hands on problem solving skills. There will be frequent travel so this is something to keep in mind, but it is a great opportunity if you are keen to see the world! 
 
Main Responsibilities: 
 
o Managing Quality concerns related to design and specification
o Managing projects with multi-functional teams (Factory, Service, Purchasing and Design)
o Carry out complex technical investigations and deploy countermeasure actions that reduce Warranty cost and improve customer satisfaction.
o Conduct Primary Analysis and countermeasure confirmation
o Travel to incident vehicles, operational environment and actual customers
o Take hands on approach to locally reproducing concerns
o To take investigation beyond the existing company available information
o Controlling and Reporting investigation status and future activities to management 
o Conduct New Model Verification across Europe together with the design teams.
o The role will require frequent overseas travel (including Japan) 
 
Qualifications, skills and experience required: 
 
o University degree in Automotive Engineering/ Mechanical Engineering, Electrical/electronics (Must)
o Good knowledge in at least one area; E drive, In Vehicle Infotainment, Chassis (essential) 
o Demonstrable problem solving skills (Essential)
o Project management skills (Essential)
o An apt communicator, be able to build good relationships across all teams (Essential)
o Be proactive and demonstrate high level of self-motivation to deliver (Essential)
o Have flexible attitude towards working across all categories depending on workload (Must)
o Second Language European, Japanese (Advantage)
