Project Engineer - Electrical Integration
12 months contract
Coventry, Warwickshire
 
Our Automotive client based in Coventry has a new government funded battery pack project in which they are seeking multiple Project Engineers and la Project Leaders.
 
They are seeking a Project Engineer with electrical integration experience working on tight timescales, from concept to delivery. Ideally having experience of working on another collaborative automotive project before.
 
Overview of the role:
The project is to industrialise battery packs using a consortium of UK based companies 
Reporting to the Chief Engineer, Electrical, you will be responsible for the engineering delivery of the project alongside our partners
This is an ideal opportunity to develop experience in a project requiring collaborative engineering, on a tight timescale, from concept to delivery and in a cutting-edge technology
 
Main duties and responsibilities:
Work with our partners and stakeholders to ensure the engineering deliverables are achieved 
Maintain the engineering specification and tracking documents
Involvement in component and sub-system tests and vehicle level validation
Engage in problem solving activities
Perform the electrical integration role including engineering software release, issues management and delivery
 
Personal qualities and attributes:
Excellent communication and co-ordination skills
Self-motivated and flexible
Enthusiastic
Methodical and precise
No visa or other restrictions for working in the UK or travelling within the European Union
 
Experience and qualifications:
Experience with delivering technical projects, preferably with a collaborative element
Experience with electrical and software integration is highly desirable
Experience in the automotive industry desirable
Educated to degree level in an engineering field, preferably electrical, electronics or software engineering
Full driving licence is essential
