Project Engineer

If you like international travel coupled with solving technical problems then this role is for you! We are looking for an Engineer who can provide accurate and thorough world class technical support across the full range of the clients product portfolio, delivered to all external customers worldwide both onshore and offshore (mainly ports and harbours), whilst also assisting the company’s internal training, product development and commercial processes.

Experience Required:
•    Experience of working at remote locations as the sole operator
•    Basic understanding of acoustic principles and effects of various aspects on acoustic product performance
•    Ability to demonstrate understanding and application of relevant safe-working practices and vigilant operation within Health & Safety systems of work
•    Experience of working overseas and dealing with varied cultural backgrounds
•    Experience of installation, repair, servicing and commissioning of equipment interfacing with other vendor products and systems
•    Understanding of IP network infrastructure
•    Experience of fault diagnosis involving hardware and software
•    Proven ability to write internal Company Visit Reports
•    IT literacy to operate laptop equipment and interpret data results
•    Ability to work effectively with others
•    Logical, analytical and evaluative approach
•    Technical problem-solving orientation and ability

This position would suit an electrical/electronics engineer who enjoys travelling around the globe, often at short notice, providing service and support to customers working in the marine sector. You’ll mainly be visiting ports and harbours working on vessels, installing and commission software products integrated to sophisticated marine electronic equipment.
