In this position you’ll manage the Production Planning function, ensuring planners meet the planning demands set by MRP (Materials Requirement Planning) for stock and non-stock items for both internal and external customers. You’ll develop and Manage the master production plan required to satisfy the internal sales forecast and immediate customer & stock requirements.
•Management of the Detailed Scheduling and Planning function
•Coach and develop the team
•Organise Training for other MRP users
•Involvement in Quarterly Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP)
•Planning for New Build; Repair; Hire; Projects and NPI parts of the business
•Review planning methods to achieve 90% OTD to the Original Promise Date whilst minimising Inventory and Cost
•Communication with Sales Regions on general and specific Lead Time requests
•Influence and inspire change
•Use of an MRP System in the planning function
•Electromechanical Jobbing Shop/Small Batch environment with NPI
•Strong MS Office User (specifically data manipulation – Pivot Tables)
•Syspro super user
•Ability to generate reports; write macros
•25 days holiday

•Bonus - PRP (not guaranteed but has historically paid between 5-18%)
Hours of work are 8.30 – 5pm (flexitime available)
This position could suit an Inventory Manager, Planning Manager or Demand Manager who has excellent communication skills, is able to coach and lead others whist driving results & problem solving.
