Production Planning Engineer

To create detailed project and resource plans at individual department level to feed into the overall capacity plan and ensure on time delivery of projects.
Key Tasks & Responsibilities
? Work with the Value Stream Managers to update the engine and part plans in Project against engine progress on the shop floor (New engines & Overhauls).
? Update plans for Parts Overhaul vs progress on the shop floor.
? Update production plans in each department according to the MPS (Time lines and List of jobs).
? Create timing and resource plans for Project management and engineering departments
? Create production plans for the Stockport overhauls facility, this could require monthly visits.
? Create and updating of production routings.
? Provide suitable production plans to enable all products manufactured in-house to be delivered on time.
? To support the daily production meetings and to provide solutions when plans fall behind to deliver on time.
? Work proactively to control costs and further to achieve cost savings in all areas of production.
? Set suitable KPIs to allow you to track performance including on time delivery and on budget
? responsible for controlling the production orders in SAP, including creation, dating and subsequent maintenance
Help Support the Production and Capacity Planner with the following tasks
- Overhauls parts and engines on SAP (Routing and BoM) and plan them according to Customer delivery dates.
- INew Engines routing on SAP during next projects.
- Better plan P2P parts according to Stockport requirements and our real capacity.

Experience & Skills
? Detailed understanding of planning and production operations and facility optimization.
? Must have SAP experience
? Be very structured and organised in your approach.
? Seasoned production planning engineer with at least 5 years of related experience, preferably in the heavy equipment manufacturing / machines
? Understand and gain knowledge about Engineering products, equipment, customer base and applicable processes
? Results driven, ability to develop and retain key business, consultant and customer relationships
? Ability to liaise and communicate at all levels in the business
? Initiative and proactive approach combined with follow-up skills
? Outgoing and motivated to connect with a wide range of different people
? Assertive, self-motivated with the ability to work independently as well as within a team
