Job Description
Brilliant opportunity for a Process Engineer to implement new ideas and ensure manufacturing operations are running as efficiently as possible. You’ll be joining an international company who are using some of the very latest manufacturing and production technology. This is a newly created role and you’d have sole responsibility for this activity across 2 sites in West Sussex. It’s a fast paced environment and you will be part of a successful team who support each other and look for ways to improve what they do.
In this varied position you’ll be responsible for:
• Developing new or modifying processes
• Defining processing or material handling equipment to ensure that factory capacity is available
• Reviewing processes, techniques and methods applied in manufacturing & fabrication, as well as for evaluating new products in development
• Fully involved in the product development lifecycle rom initial concept, working closely with R&D Engineers right through to full-scale manufacturing
• Working closely with production management and quality teams
• Compiling and evaluating test data
• Planning and running CAPEX projects involving new concepts as well as automation technology
• Advising on design changes
• Researching new production technologies
• Map and document all production processes
• Identify and introduce best practice
To apply for this position you should be able to demonstrate the following:
Essential
• HNC/D or equivalent in an appropriate technical discipline
• A background from within a modern precision engineering manufacturing environment
• Designing, installing and optimising manufacturing cells using both manual and automated processes
• CAD/CAM (Autocad and advantage)
• Statistical Process Control
• Good technical English
• Ability to effect change
• A good problem solver
Desirable
• CNC Experience
• Composites, precision metal working
This position would suit someone who has superb communication and interpersonal skills and has the ability to lead, coordinate and drive change activities within a complex technical environment. This would appeal to those who love working within both an R&D and manufacturing environment.
