The role: 
As Powertrain Controls Engineer, you’ll help drive forward and develop our engine and gearbox control and diagnostic strategies for business products and 3rd party engineering customers. With ambitious plans for growth in our future, you’ll be joining at a time of significant investment, with all the opportunities to build a strong career in a world-renowned automotive brand. 

Working on key projects at the driving force of our products, you’ll oversee vital controls, diagnostics, specifications, algorithms and C code for engine and gearbox. 

Reviewing code and software specifications, you will help debug and calibrate engine and gearbox management systems. 

You’ll also plan and carry out testing in simulation, testbed, lab and vehicle environments, reporting and providing technical recommendations based on the results.

This is a key role within a highly skilled team working at the forefront of the industry. 

About you:
You’ll be degree educated in Engineering or equivalently experienced in industry and bring with you knowledge of Embedded software (C) for engine and/ or gearbox control and vehicle CAN interface.

You’ll need to be highly analytical, with a knack for problem solving. This role is heavy on detail, so we’re looking for someone who is meticulous in their approach to their work. We're also looking for a team player. We work as a team, so we’re often working together on problems and picking up work for each other where necessary.
