Our Automotive client specialises in the design, development and manufacture of internal combustion engines and hybrid powertrain systems. They offer a fast paced, high technology consultancy environment backed by a large global brand.
We are currently looking to recruit a Junior Sales Engineer to expand the existing commercial team. This role will see you maintain an existing customer base, and seek and define suitable new business opportunities in line with company strategy. I am looking for a Junior sales person with engineering, ideally Automotive technical knowledge who is keen to build their knowledge with further training. You will need to be enthusiastic, passionate about Automotive and ideally engines. You may not necessarily have sold into the sector yet, but would require some experience of technical sales.
Key duties;
• To manage UK customer base
• To develop and maintain strong customer links
• To seek and define suitable new business opportunities in line with company strategy
• To bring these opportunities to business and follow them through to successful bids
• To develop and maintain strong links to group sales
• Promote products and services with (UK) customers
• Arrange and carry out sales meetings with appropriate client departments
Skills and Experience
• Degree in related Engineering discipline
• Excellent communication skills
• Technical understanding of company products and service
• Professional time management and general organisational skills
• The ability to work well under pressure, globally and as part of a team
• Engineering background, preferable automotive or related industry
• Relevant experience technical-commercial roles, preferably Sales or Business Development for engineering consultancy organisation
