Job Description
We are looking for a graduate engineer with SolidWorks 3D CAD experience to join the engineering team. The role will include taking concept designs to create models and assemblies to be used to generate fully detailed drawings. Furthermore, to liaise with suppliers and subsequently to procure parts. This position requires dedication, hard work and a willingness to communicate and work in a team. You must be well organized with a good attitude and excellent attention to detail. This role offers you the opportunity to work in a leading edge and rapidly developing industry which requires constant expansion of technology and progress in designing new production lines and processes.
Requirements:
• Degree MEng or similar
• Good computer skills, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
• SolidWorks user
• Have a structured approach to creating parts and building assemblies so that other users can easily dissect and modify if necessary
• Takes pride in presentation of drawings: consistent formatting, easy to read, thinks of the end user
• Checks their work before releasing it for review
• Someone who is content with generating professional drawings
• An understanding of manufacturing processes, milling, turning, grinding, forging and welding
• Someone who can work in a team and on their own
• Someone who can use their initiative to problem solve
• Flexible to take on other tasks such as liaise with suppliers, obtaining quotations, create and place purchase orders
• Communicate at all levels
• Run basic calculation spreadsheets for fitting designs
• Test plans and documentation
• Liaise with test team etc
