Job Description
I am currently seeking an Inverter & Charger Test Engineer to join for our Automotive client. This role is based within a highly successful Powertrain group within the Electric Vehicle Engineering Team.This is a brilliant opportunity for a driven individual to deliver inverter and charger testing for a brand new EV project.
Responsibilities:
• Liaise with inverter and charger DVP Engineers to identify test requirements
• Develop and author test methods
• Write test scripts for AVL inverter testbeds and charger analysis tools
• Work with testbed operators to carry out tests
• Fault fix testing issues as required
• Analyse test data and report on test results
• Schedule and monitor progress of testing activities
• Create and maintain test activity risk assessments and safe operating procedures
• Prepare plans and presentations for key milestone events as required
• Ensure timely delivery of testing to support the overall programme timing
What You Will Need:
• A degree in Electrical/Electronic engineering or equivalent (other relevant engineering disciplines will be considered)
• Experience of inverter and charger testing
• Experience of AVL inverter testbeds is beneficial but not essential
• Experience of charger analysis and simulation tools is beneficial but not essential
• Experience of automotive high voltage safety is beneficial but not essential
• Ability to communicate complex technical issues in an appropriate, concise and accurate fashion, both in writing and verbally
• Strong team work and influencing skills
