Interior Project Engineer

I have a role with our automotive client who develops electric performance and high-performance cars
This is a European company that will be working on designing an electric vehicle based in Coventry

•A Degree qualified Engineer (or related technical field) or someone who has the equivalent relevant experience in industry.
•An Engineer with sound knowledge and understanding of engineering design principles including DFM, DFA, DFMEA & DVP.
•Someone who is willing to support the development and Manufacturing of a vehicle that will be engineered and manufactured between the UK, Sweden & China. This will include the need for extended periods in China through the launch of the program.
•You are clear and logical in both written and verbal communication
•Experience of product development within Automotive OEM or/and tier one supplier.
•Knowledge of plastic moulding technologies and secondary technologies would be advantageous
•Intrinsically self-motivated with an ability to work to challenging time scales on multiple priorities
•Ability to interrogate CAD data with a suitable viewing software package.
•Technical responsibility for the development of Interior trim components, namely door trims.
•Working within a highly skilled team of Engineers with multiple skills related to the design, development and manufacture of Automotive Interior Products and complex assemblies.
•Responsible to deliver to the technical specification, performance, cost, weight and quality
•Responsible to ensure interface and integration of vehicle systems across the vehicle architecture from concept through to series running change with supervision of Principal Engineer.
•Ownership of the review, verification & validation activities including FMEAs, DVP, DVA and performance tests throughout the development lifecycle
•Issue management and problem resolution to closure of all issues at concept through to production phase.
•Actively lead supplier management and co-ordination including support for Procurement, Logistics and Quality throughout the project lifecycle
