Genuine opportunity for an international sales professional to join one of the leading engineering companies in Hampshire. Due to continued expansion and demand for their high technology products, they are now hiring a Head of Sales to lead & coordinate the global sales function focusing on strategy, sales management, enhanced customer satisfaction as well as developing the channel/distribution network.
You’ll be responsible for a global team of 18 who are responsible for customers in over 50 countries and generating around £30-40m in revenue.
Customers are within the offshore Oil & Gas market as well as other marine technology
This position will involve significant overseas travel including visits to regional offices and
To compete at this level you’ll need to be Degree qualified in a relevant (electronics preferred) technical or business discipline and have a comprehensive understanding of the Offshore Oil & Gas industry, as well as a current understanding of subsea technology and their applications.
You should be able to demonstrate extensive experience of international commercial processes, international legal frameworks and commercial operations of Agent & Reseller networks.
We are looking for someone with the proven ability to develop, implement and drive international sales strategies across different market sectors. A Motivational leader, facilitator and effective manager of sales/commercial staff who are based in several countries – someone who can demonstrate that they have delivered successful results through others.
You must be a credible communicator, influencer and networker and ideally have a situational leadership/coaching/mentoring style.
This position would ideally suit a Sales Director who has previously worked as an Engineer and is now looking for an opportunity to join an established and successful company, and lead the sales team from the front.
